Norbu is a charming Tibetan boy from the Kham region of Eastern Tibet, skillfully handcrafted by artisan Rani. His long plait, interwoven with red silken thread, is wrapped around his head in the traditional Khampa style, reflecting the cultural pride of his homeland. Norbu is dressed in a traditional shirt, trousers, felt boots, and a smart chupa coat, elegantly tied with a red silken belt, showcasing the vibrant and detailed clothing of the Tibetan people.
Filled with 100% sheep’s wool, Norbu is both durable and delightful. His clothing, made from natural cotton, is removable for imaginative play or display. Norbu can be gently handwashed, maintaining his beauty for years to come.
Inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s educational philosophy, Norbu encourages creativity, imaginative play, and a deep connection to cultural traditions. Dolls4Tibet provides women in the Tibetan and Indian communities with training, skills, and opportunities to empower their lives while crafting these beautifully detailed, high-end artisan dolls.
Norbu is a wonderful addition to any collection or as a treasured piece for a child, offering both beauty and cultural significance.
